The term "free energy" describes energy that is "free to harvest from nature." This is being done by conventional renewables (wind, hydro, thermal, etc.). Emerging are what might be termed the "exotic free energy" sources which are making use of what appear to be complimentary, cleaner, every bit as powerful if not more, and sustainable sources of energy. The universe is a "perpetual motion" machine! (see non-decaying spin of the electron for example) There can be no violation of the laws of physics; however, upon review of current theories and working knowledge, it is apparent that our understanding of the laws of physics (including Civil War era electromagnetic theory) is obviously very deficient. In the last few decades there have been significant theoretical proposals to account for this new field of energy development that may be "tapping the wheel works of Nature" as Nikola Tesla put it.

There have been results by John Bedini and others (see above) that demonstrate non-galvanic battery power using only a mixture of salts and and lead or two dissimilar metals - no liquid! Also John Hutchinson has used only dry rocks with metal! This has not been in the mainstream of research to date. In addition, see the documented work of T. There are a number of instances of inventors using vaporization of fuel (not currently done) which results in far greater efficiencies in internal combustion engines. Other methods are being discovered also.

Nature has a lot to tell us, even if we think we know something about a particular aspect. Water is certainly a good case in point. It is one of the rare liquids that expands when it freezes, and can exist in all three states (solid, liquid, gas/steam) within our livable temperature range. What is not commonly known is that water can be "structured." This occurs in nature in the course of its evaporation, precipitation, percolation through the ground, and expecially in running water (streams, rivers, etc.). The idea is that when water is structured into its macro-molecular hexagonal geometry biological systems (including the human body) can hydrate more efficiently and impurities are naturally dropped out which previously were bound up in less structured molecular clusters.  Masaru Emoto discovered aspects of this with his frozen crystals studies. Others, such as Patrick Flanagan, Dan Winter and Gerald Pollack have done research into this. Viktor Schauberger had insight into this decades ago. The author is trying the Fractal Water home unit from Dan Winter's efforts, available in the U.S. - some testing has been done with these devices. There are no products endorsed by Dr. Pollack, Dr. Flanagan has water supplements that are claimed to structure water, and has done some hard scientific testing of his conditioned water.

Given that humans are now adding roughly 3% CO2 to the planetary atmospheric total CO2, part of which is sequestered into limestone via oceanic deposition over millions of years, consider the effect that will have on a rather finely tuned planetary euquilibrium to maintain oceanic and land-based life. Ocean acidification problems occurring now are a very strong indicator of potentially dangerous disequilibrium for all planetary life. If this fact, along with other indicators of dangerous disequilibrium are not apparent, the reader could take a look at some Daily Climate news. If these daily reports do not indicate to the reader that we need to move to non-hydrocarbon based energy sources, then how about considering the many problems with the toxicities and dangers of burning and manufacturing with toxic hydrocarbon sources and using nuclear fission for energy (and weapons). If that does not spark the interest of the reader in other energy sources, many of which mentioned on this site promise to be a radical improvement over conventional renewables, then the reader might watch this video, which may at least provide entertainment. Regardless, if the reader has any appreciation for the 'cool' factor in new 'exotic' free energy, then you might just "go with that!" In the emergent free energy field, there is something for everybody. If you are interested in being a "citizen scientist" and doing something about your local environment, aside from becoming informed about emergent technology, you might be interested in this site.

Another major facet to climate change concerns is how our diet impacts the planet. Earthsave has been a good source of solid information on this topic for decades. A recent film, Cowspiracy addresses greenhouse gas concerns with an unvarnished look at the meat and dairy industry and its impact on the environment which major environmental groups have ignored entirely. Are we, as a planet, willing to face facts about the consequences of how we eat, in terms of the effect on our health and on the planet?

Given the current interest in reversing effects of climate change with geo-engineering, we may consider different approaches that may not have the many catch-22 unintended consequences, or just being impractical for a number of reasons, aside from not solving the cause. Trevor James Constable, weather science investigator and former radio officer for the Merchant Marine (26 years), demonstrated significant weather altering using very simple technologies which expanded on the work of Wilhelm Reich. Reich described factors contributing to conditions of drought and extreme weather being the use of nuclear power and development and testing of nuclear weapons. These observations are based on the emergent recognition of the zero-point field of the vacuum that is not empty space. Trevor Constable had success in demonstrating these principles. These and other similar discoveries may have the potential to revolutionize approaches to restoring the balance of environmental conditions on planet earth. Adam Trombly, atmospheric scientist and free energy inventor, has commented on the dangerous effect upon the atmosphere by nuclear/fissile materials being used for energy and other purposes on the surface of the planet, as has the late polymath, Walter Russell.
